[MY] Mee Tarik Warisan Asli

I no longer do my best to take decent photos

The first time I ate at Mee Tarik Warisan Asli was more than 5 years ago at their Medan Niaga Tasik Damai, Sungai Besi outlet. The menu was pretty simple then. I used to go there two to three times a week because it was within walking distance from my office, plus the taste of the mee tarik reminded me of my trip to China.

Ever since then, I’ve eaten at several of their other outlets. Needless to say, I’ve also seen the changes in their menu and restaurant concept. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer their 5 years ago menu at Medan Niaga Tasik Damai, Sungai Besi outlet. And the price too. Continue reading “[MY] Mee Tarik Warisan Asli”

[MY] The Khan Mongolian Restaurant Halal Buffet BBQ Steamboat

Just look at that glorious spread

Many years back, I went to The Khan Mongolian Restaurant Halal Buffet BBQ Steamboat with my sister. We only went there once because despite the food being good, both of us weren’t big eaters. It’s quite a shame really to go to a buffet, only to eat a small portion of food.

This time around, I brought K along. He loves hotpots and since this restaurant is run by Chinese Muslims from China, I thought it’d be a fantastic treat for him. Think of it as letting him have a taste of home.

Should bring K here one of these days

Selalunya bila orang jumpa muallaf mula2 akan tanya apa? “Alhamdulillah syukur.. Hmm dah kahwin ke? Owh dah kahwin Alhamdulillah..

Jazak Allahu Khaiyr

Satisfying our mee tarik cravings!

We just came back from the China Embassy at Jalan Ampang when we caught sight of this China-style Chinese Muslim restaurant – Mi Tarik Jin Cheng.

Since we came during lunch time, there were many people in the restaurant. We had to wait for about 10 minutes before we managed to get a seat.

[MY] Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant

One of our friends came to KL for a weekend getaway. Since we have not met her for so long, we decided to have dinner together before she leaves for Singapore.

Our dinner date was at Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant located at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Amber sells all sorts of Northern China-style Chinese Muslim dishes, including the ever popular Mi Tarik.

Since K is from Northern China, he was ecstatic to be able to eat food he is familiar with. Our friend and I pretty much left it to him to order our dinner.
