PAVILION Kuala Lumpur may set itself as the city’s haute couture shopping mecca but beyond its fashionista persona, the award-winning mall is also big on dining options.

Of its 150 dining outlets, the mall has a handful of Muslim-friendly Chinese restaurants which most of them are among the best Muslim-friendly, pork-free Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.

From deliciously flavourful spicy ma la dishes to indulgent butter prawns, the mall has it all.

AL AMBER CHINESE MUSLIM RESTAURANT

Located at Dining Loft on Level 7, Al Amber has an extensive menu of over 80 items for customers to choose from. Its popular dishes include Special Hand-pulled Noodle that is served in beef broth that has been stewed for three hours, Roasted Lamb Chops marinated with ‘sannai’ Chinese spices, and Steamed Shrimps in Hot Chilli Oil dish cooked in a Szechuan Ma La sauce.

GRAND IMPERIAL SEAFOOD HOTPOT & BBQ

From its signature Roast Duck to the traditional Chinese handmade ‘La Mian’ noodles, the restaurant which is located on Level 9, guarantees good eats to its patrons. Hotpot fans can select from a host of imported meats, fresh seafood, handmade meatballs and dumplings, plus loads of fresh vegetables and condiments. There’s everything to make a scrumptious hotpot feast!

GRANDMAMA’S

There’s something warm and comforting about our grandmother’s cooking. That’s what Grandmama’s aims to achieve with its authentic Malaysian fare. Some of its signature Chinese dishes are Duck Egg Char Kway Teow, Grandmama’s Prawn Mee and Hakka Fried Rice. At the Pavilion KL, Grandmama’s is on located Level 6, while at Intermark Mall, it’s on the Ground Floor.

DAILY KOPITIAM

Who doesn’t love Kopitiam fare? Daily Kopitiam serves all your favourite Chinese Malaysian noodle dishes from Penang Prawn Mee, Penang Curry Mee, Assam Laksa, Chee Cheong Fun, Lam Mee, and Fried Mee/Mee Hoon. Served with a freshly brewed Kopi, these dishes are bound to hit the spot! Daily Kopitam is located on Level 4 while its sister branch, Daily Express is at Food Hall in Intermark Mall.

DOLLY DIM SUM

Dim sum is commonly translated to “touch the heart”, and that is what the dainty bite-sized dishes do for patrons as they the food that will leave both their belly and hearts full. Must-try items at the restaurant that is located on Level 1 include Salad Prawn Dumpling, Golden Fish Cracker, Har Gao Dumpling, Spicy Szechuan Dumpling and their famous oozy Signature Egg Custard Bun!
