Just look at that glorious spread

Many years back, I went to The Khan Mongolian Restaurant Halal Buffet BBQ Steamboat with my sister. We only went there once because despite the food being good, both of us weren’t big eaters. It’s quite a shame really to go to a buffet, only to eat a small portion of food.

This time around, I brought K along. He loves hotpots and since this restaurant is run by Chinese Muslims from China, I thought it’d be a fantastic treat for him. Think of it as letting him have a taste of home.

Getting our engines started

We went to the restaurant, deliberated, and eventually decided to go for the clear soup, and tom yam soup. He had to choose tom yam soup. So much for wanting K to have a taste of home. Then we went on an unforgettable buffet spree. We took a generous helping of different cuts of meats and seafood, and some fruits and vegetables to balance things out. With their wide variety of sauces and drinks, I have to admit, we were literally spoiled for choice.

An hour and a half went by, and we were still filling up our bellies. The nice thing about the restaurant is we can take our time to savour the food. The next best thing is the restaurant has a surau, making it easier for us to perform our prayers.
